October 24th, 2013 – CATCH, Inc. named finalist in Toyota 100 Cars For Good Program
Toyota to Donate Vehicles to Local Nonprofit Organizations Based on Public Votes

Boise, Idaho – Treasure Valley based organization, CATCH, Inc. is one of 250 finalists in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations from across the country based on votes from the publicbeginning Oct. 1, 2013.

Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five nonprofit organizations each day for 50 days at Facebook.com/Toyota. Visitors to the page can make two votes each day to select two separate winning organizations they feel are most deserving of new Toyota vehicles.  CATCH, Inc. will be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting on Friday, October 25, 2013.

Local residents are encouraged to support CATCH, Inc. in the quest for a new Toyota Tundra. If CATCH receives the most votes and is award the vehicle, it will be used to help move homeless families into new homes.

CATCH, Inc., a non-profit re-housing agency with programs in Ada and Canyon counties, will host the Grand Opening of its new office in Nampa at 306 2nd Street South on Tuesday, October 8th at 3:30 pm. Mayor Tom Dale of Nampa will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting at 4:00, and brief remarks immediately following.

“The City of Nampa has been extremely hospitable and supportive of our mission to assist homeless families in Canyon County”, said Greg Morris, founder and executive director of CATCH, Inc. “We are thankful for the opportunity to maintain a stronger presence in Nampa alongside other service providers and shelters.”

February 13th, 2013 – Non-profit re-housing agency expands services for homeless families in Meridian

CATCH, Inc., a non-profit re-housing agency with programs in Ada and Canyon counties, will announce its expansion into Meridian in partnership with the Joint School District No. 2 at the District Service Center at 1303 E. Central Drive on Thursday, February 14th at 10:30 am.

“We have wanted to expand our services into Meridian for some time”, said Greg Morris, Founder and Executive Director of CATCH, Inc. “We could not be more excited about the opportunity to partner directly with the Meridian School District to address the increasing numbers of homeless or precariously housed children and youth being reported.”

“Our partnership with CATCH, Inc. is a great step toward addressing the educational impact that homelessness has on students”, said Dr. Linda Clark, Superintendent of Joint School District No. 2. “It’s an excellent program model that will help at least six families this semester break the cycle of homelessness and become self sufficient.”

“We are excited CATCH has formed a partnership with the Joint School District No. 2. CATCH helps address the realities families and youth face in homelessness by offering a path towards success”, said Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd. “By bringing together the different parts of the community – our houses of worship, businesses, and non-profits, together we can give kids and families an opportunity for a brighter future.”

On February 14th at 10:30 a.m., the Meridian School District will host a press event to launch the new Meridian office, which will be an expansion of the CATCH of Ada County program. Mayor Tammy de Weerd and Superintendent Linda Clark are scheduled to make remarks. CATCH, Inc. staff and board members will also be available to speak with members of the media. The press conference will be held in the front (main entrance) lobby at 1303 E. Central Drive in Meridian.

October 22nd, 2012 – Non-profit re-housing agency hosts 3rd Annual Event

CATCH, Inc., a non-profit re-housing agency with programs in Ada and Canyon counties, invites the public to attend its 3rd annual Harvest for Homes dinner banquet and auction benefiting the CATCH of Canyon County program this Wednesday, October 24th at 6:00 pm at the College of Idaho- Simplot Dining Hall. This year’s event will feature opening remarks by Nampa Mayor Tom Dale, the Appalachian mountain music of the Hokum Hi Flyers, live and silent auctions, and square dancing fun for all. All proceeds from this event benefit CATCH of Canyon County and its efforts to re-house and assist homeless families with children in Nampa, Caldwell, and surrounding areas.

This year’s event is sponsored by Mountain West Bank and Intermountain Gas Company. CATCH, Inc. currently operates two current programs in the Treasure Valley – CATCH of Ada County and CATCH of Canyon County, and has plans to expand into Twin Falls in 2013.

September 28th, 2012 – Non-profit re-housing agency will expand services to homeless families

CATCH, Inc., a non-profit re-housing agency with programs in Ada and Canyon counties, will announce a significant regional expansion effort at the grand opening of its new headquarters in Boise at 503 S. Americana Blvd. on Thursday, October 4th from 3:00-5:00.

“Tonight in the Treasure Valley, more than100 families with children are homeless and living in local shelters or otherwise precariously housed”, said Greg Morris, Founder and Executive Director of CATCH, Inc. “Thanks to the generosity of community partners and individual donors, our ability to increase the numbers of families served in Ada and Canyon County, as well as prepare for expansion into other cities, could not have come at a better time.”

CATCH, Inc. Board President and Idaho Power Executive, Bruce MacMahon added, “The need has never been greater for Idaho families with children, and our intent is to extend CATCH, Inc. services to communities that want this program.”

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has recently partnered with CATCH, Inc. to increase the numbers of families served in the Treasure Valley and beyond. “We are very supportive of CATCH, Inc.’s efforts to serve homeless families throughout the State of Idaho,” said Richard Armstrong, the Department’s Director. “CATCH has been recognized as one of the best models in the country for its ability to get homeless families back on their feet.” To date, CATCH’s success rate of permanently re-housing families is consistently above 85% percent in both counties, making it one of the most successful homeless response programs in the country.

On October 4th, CATCH, Inc. will host a Grand Opening/Open House at its new facility located at 503 S. Americana Blvd., followed by a 4:00 program to include building dedication, and keynote speaker, Clint Robertson. Mr. Robertson, a finalist in Season 10 of Donald Trump’s The Apprentice, is an attorney, CPA, and real estate entrepreneur who lost everything in 2009 during the sub-prime crisis. Clint’s national motivational speaking engagements continue to motivate and inspire people across the country.

CATCH staff, Board of Directors, and current/past CATCH families will be available to speak with members of the media.

History

Charitable Assistance To Community’s Homeless was originally developed by Mr. Morris and launched locally by the City of Boise in November 2006. In August of 2009, Morris worked with Caldwell Mayor Garret Nancolas to successfully launch CATCH of Canyon County, which serves Nampa and Caldwell. In 2010, CATCH, Inc. was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit Idaho corporation by a consortium of Treasure Valley community partners. In 2011, CATCH, Inc.’s Board of Directors separated its mission from, and remains independent of, the City of Boise. CATCH, Inc. operates two current programs in the Treasure Valley – CATCH of Ada County and CATCH of Canyon County – and employs licensed social workers in both programs.
